Pseudopanax Sabre, Pseudopanax lessonii Sabre, Pseudopanax l Sabre
Pseudopanax Sabre is a variety of the commonly known Lancewood. It has a distinctive juvenile form which comprises lance shaped leaves that are leathery with a toothed margin and are dark green with an orange midrib. As the plant matures, the leaves shorten, become darker, and a rounded crown develops. It eventually reaches 3 m tall and 2 m wide. Pseudopanax lessonii Sabre is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in a tropical garden, maintained in a container, planted around the pool area, included in native revegetation projects, used for shelter or screening, or planted to contrast with leafier plants.
