“Springtime” is an easy care shrub grown for its impressive flowering. It features sprays of pink flowers which literally coat the plant through late winter and spring. The lush and glossy, dark green foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the flowers. It grows compactly to about 60 cm tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It is tolerant of moderate frost, coastal environments, and some wind. “Springtime” is commonly included in borders, mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover, grown as a low hedge, or planted around outdoor living areas.
