Rhododendron Blue Admiral Details

Rhododendron Blue Admiral is a popular, dwarf variety of Rhododendron that features masses of beautiful, blue-purple flowers. The stunning blooms are produced in spring and bring a pleasant change to the garden. It is reasonably fast growing with a compact growth habit, and hosts dark green leaves that complement the flowers nicely. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frosts but should be protected from harsh frosts when young. When fertilising, avoid using lime as this will stunt or even kill plants. Rhododendron Blue Admiral is a great choice for adding to a mixed planting, using in cottage gardens, planting around outdoor living areas, or maintaining in a container.
