“Princess Alice” is a variety of Rhododendron that features large, very fragrant, white flowers flushed with pink through spring. It is reasonably fast growing with an erect growth habit, bearing dark green leaves that complement the flowers wonderfully. It typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frosts but should be protected from harsh frosts when young. “Princess Alice” is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in tropical or cottage gardens, maintained in a container, or planted around outdoor living areas where the fragrance and beauty can be appreciated.
