Salvia chamaedryoides, Germander Sage, Oak Sage, Mexican Blue Sage, Mexican Blue Sage Plant, Blue Germander Sage
Salvia chamaedryoides, commonly known as Germander Sage, Oak Sage, and the Mexican Blue Sage plant, is a shrub grown for its rich display of flowers from summer through autumn. It produces long, slender, flower spikes with small, bright blue flowers that are very striking. The flowers sit neatly above the small, grey foliage as it grows to 40 cm tall and 1 m wide. Salvia chamaedryoides is ideal for mass planting as a groundcover on a bank, including in cottage gardens, using in borders and mixed plantings, or planting around outdoor living areas such as pools.
