Skimmia reevesiana is a handsome, evergreen shrub. It features mid-sized, glossy, dark green leaves held on a densely branched plant. Through spring the foliage is adorned with clusters of small and showy, red-pink buds that open to reveal fragrant, cream-white, star-shaped flowers which result in glossy, bright red berries which persist for many months. It grows with a rounded shape to about 70 cm tall and 1.2 m wide. Skimmia reevesiana is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown in a container, planted around the barbecue area, or grown as an informal hedge.

Skimmia reevesiana is a handsome, evergreen shrub. It features mid-sized, glossy, dark green leaves held on a densely branched plant. The flowers result in glossy, bright red berries which persist for many months. It grows with a rounded shape to about 70 cm tall and 1.2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It will tolerate moderate frost though should be protected while establishing.
