Spiraea Goldflame is grown for its dense and attractive foliage that changes with the seasons. New growth emerges bronze-tinged, ages to become soft yellow-green, then changes to a brilliant copper-orange as autumn progresses. Clusters of dark pink-red flowers are borne through summer as it grows to about 1 m tall and the same wide. Spiraea Goldflame is commonly included in borders and mixed plantings, maintained in a container, trimmed into a hedge, planted to brighten a dull corner, or mass planted for a stunning display.
