Commonly known as the Marmalade Bush, this is an evergreen shrub grown for its colourful flowers. It produces bell-shaped, yellow-orange flowers at the ends of branches from spring through until autumn. The flowers age to orange-red which gives the plant a multi-coloured display - akin to marmalade! The foliage comprises glossy, dark green leaves which are held on somewhat rambling stems. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, but with a support structure, it will climb and become much larger. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, frost free site. The Marmalade Bush is commonly included in a mixed planting, added to cottage and tropical gardens, planted around outdoor living areas such as pools, maintained in a container, or used anywhere a space needs brightening up.
