Commonly known as Goldfussia, this is an evergreen shrub grown for its lush foliage. It features dark green leaves which are stained with a black-purple tint and held densely. Small and pretty, blue flowers are produced in spring amidst the foliage. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 1.3 m wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered, frost free site in full sun or partial shade. Goldfussia is commonly included in a mixed or border planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or mass planted as a groundcover. Its foliage also makes it suitable for including in a tropical garden.
