Syringa Madame Lemoine is a variety of French Lilac and is grown for its showy flowers from late spring through summer. During this time, buds open to reveal clusters of fragrant, double, white flowers. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Syringa Madame Lemoine is commonly included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, used in “white” gardens, or grown as a flowering hedge.
