Syringa Princess Clementine is a variety of French Lilac grown for its showy and fragrant flowers. Buds open from late spring through summer to reveal clusters of the double, cream-white blooms which contrast nicely with the foliage. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows upright with a somewhat loose habit to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide though can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of light shade, short periods of dry, frost, and cool climates.
