Syringa Scentsation is a popular variety of French Lilac that is grown for its showy and perfumed flowers. Purple buds open through late spring and summer to reveal clusters of the single, purple blooms with a white rim. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide. Syringa Scensation Details

Syringa Scentsation is a popular variety of French Lilac that is grown for its showy and perfumed flowers. Purple buds open through late spring and summer to reveal clusters of the single, purple blooms with a white rim. The flowers are both stunning and great for attracting butterflies. The foliage comprises dark green, heart-shaped leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows upright with a somewhat loose habit to about 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of light shade, short periods of dry, frost, and cool climates.
