Teucrium fruticans “Platinum Baby” is a popular, evergreen shrub grown for its pretty flowers and attractive foliage. Small, blue-purple flowers are borne at the tips of branches from summer through autumn. These are complemented with grey-blue foliage which is held on criss-crossing stems. It typically grows to 70 cm tall and 50 cm wide, and responds well to trimming. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is tolerant of moderate frost once established as well as short periods of dry. “Platinum Baby” is commonly included in a mixed planting, maintained in a container, trimmed into a low hedge, planted around outdoor living areas, or mass planted for a lovely display. The versatility and attractiveness of this plant makes it very popular.
