Thunbergia natalensis Details

Thunbergia natalensis is a hardy, deciduous shrub that is grown for its flowers and foliage. Masses of pale-blue flowers are borne during summer. These are complemented with lush, green foliage. It grows with a rounded habit to about 1 m tall and wide. This shrub grows best growth when planted in full sun or partial shade on a sheltered, well-drained site, and is tolerant of frost, cool climates, moderate shade, and periods of dry. It may drop its leaves in summer if it becomes water stressed. Thunbergia natalensis is commonly included in cottage gardens, added to mixed plantings, or planted around outdoor living areas.
