Tibouchina Carol Lyn, commonly known as the Glory Bush or Purple Flower Tree, is grown for both its foliage and flowers. It grows as an evergreen shrub and carries lush, green foliage. The large flowers are purple with a white centre and are produced in abundance twice per year (spring and autumn) with sporadic flowering through the other seasons. It grows compactly to about 1.5 m tall and 1 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this plant are achieved when grown on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade.
