Tibouchina Edwardsii, commonly known as Lasiandra, is grown for both its foliage and beautiful flowers. It grows as an evergreen shrub and carries soft looking, green foliage. The flowers are purple and produced in abundance generally twice per year (spring and autumn) with sporadic flowering through the other seasons. It grows compactly to about 2 m tall and the same wide. Tibouchina Edwardsii is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown in a container, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
