Viburnum plicatum Mariesii is a variety of the commonly known, Japanese Snowball Bush, and is a deciduous shrub grown for its layered foliage and showy flowers. Clusters of white, lacecap flowers are borne during spring on tiered branches that also host dark green leaves as it grows to 2 m tall and 3 m wide. Viburnum Mariesii is commonly grown as a specimen, included in a mixed planting, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, included in cottage gardens, or planted around outdoor living areas.
