The Zanthoxylum simulans plant, commonly known as Szechuan Red Pepper or the Red Peppercorn Tree, is a deciduous shrub grown for its spicy berries and foliage. It grows as a thorny, deciduous shrub with open branching to about 4 m tall and 3 m wide, and can easily be contained with trimming.
