Aeonium Subplanum Details

Aeonium subplanum is grown for its symmetrical rosettes of glossy, light green, rounded leaves. During cool weather the leaves may develop pink tones. In spring, a flower spike sometimes emerges from the centre of the rosette to bear pale yellow flowers. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained site. Plants are tolerant of light frost only and require protection from strong winds. They are, however, tolerant of dry soils and coastal environments. Aeonium subplanum is excellent for growing in a container, planting in the more arid parts of the garden, rock gardens, or for use in modern gardens where something unusual yet symmetrical is required.
