Aloe spinosissima, commonly known as the Spider Aloe, this is a handsome, smaller succulent featuring blue-green leaves with spiny teeth. In winter, a stem rises above the foliage to bear showy clusters of tubular, red flowers. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best in full sun on a well-drained site.
