This impressive tree forms a rounded crown of sturdy branches which host succulent, green-grey leaves arranged in a rosette. Red-orange flowers are borne in winter and add further aesthetic appeal. This subtropical grows best when planted on well-drained site in full sun. It will survive dry summers but must be protected from frosts, particularly when young.
