Crassula capitella is a succulent that features pretty flowers and striking foliage. It carries fleshy, green leaves on creeping stems that turn bright red at the tips in bright light and when moisture stressed. Interesting clusters of small pink flowers are borne during summer at the ends of stems as it grows to 20 cm tall and 50 cm wide. Crassula capitella is often used as a houseplant but can equally be grown outdoors provided it is protected from frost.

Crassula capitella Details

Crassula capitella is a succulent that features pretty flowers and striking foliage. It carries fleshy, green leaves on creeping stems that turn bright red at the tips in bright light and when moisture stressed. Interesting clusters of small pink flowers are borne during summer at the ends of stems. It typically grows to 20 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is largely drought tolerant and does not tolerate being over-watered. Crassula capitella is often used as a houseplant but can equally be grown outdoors provided it is protected from frost.
