Acer cappadocicum rubrum, commonly known as the Red Cappadocian Maple, is grown for its rich and colourful foliage. The leaves on this deciduous tree emerge blood red, age to green, then develop impressive yellow-gold tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows with an upright and tidy form to 10 m tall and 6 m wide. Acer cappadocicum rubrum is perfect for growing as a specimen tree in parks and larger gardens. It is also well suited for avenue planting or for bordering an entrance.
