Acer japonicum Vitifolium is a popular variety of the commonly known, Full Moon Maple, and is grown for its rich and colourful foliage. The leaves on this small, deciduous tree emerge with bronze tones in spring, mature to mid-green, then develop deep colourful orange and red tones in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright habit to about 4 m tall and the same wide. Acer Vitifolium is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a courtyard garden.
