“Katsura” is an impressive Japanese Maple with its rich display of delicate and colourful foliage. Leaves emerge yellow-orange with a pink margin in spring, age to green in summer, then turn colourful shades of orange in autumn before falling. This deciduous tree typically grows with a rounded shape to about 3 m tall and 2 m wide. with results achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, short periods of dry, and most soil conditions, except extreme wet and dry. “Katsura” is a magnificent specimen and is ideal for mixed plantings, planting against a stark wall, or for using anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.
