Acer Koto-no-ito is a very impressive Japanese Maple due to its rich display of delicate, trailing, foliage. Leaves on this small, deciduous tree emerge light green with red tones, then quickly age to a fresh and bright green. As autumn progresses the leaves develop golden, red, and orange tones before falling. It typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide. Acer Koto-no-ito is a magnificent specimen well suited for mixed plantings, planting against a stark wall, or for using anywhere the spectacular colours can be enjoyed.
