Acer negundo ‘Flamingo’ is a variety of Maple grown for its rich and colourful foliage. The lush leaves on this deciduous tree emerge pink in spring, age to become variegated green and white, then turn orange-yellow in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright and rounded habit to eventually reach about 10 m tall and 8 m wide, but can be contained with trimming. Best results with this Maple are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and a range of soil types, barring extreme wet and dry. Acer ‘Flamingo’ is commonly grown as a specimen or added to a mixed planting in a large garden. This popular tree is easy to grow, very forgiving, and has great aesthetic appeal.
