Acer negundo Violaceum is a variety of Maple grown for its lovely foliage and interesting flowers. The leaves on this deciduous tree emerge copper-green in spring, age quickly to become darker green with purple veins, then turn purple in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright and rounded habit to reach 10 m tall and 6 m wide. Acer Violaceum makes for a lovely specimen and is ideal for parks and large gardens where a stunning tree that provides year round interest is required.
