Acer palmatum Shirazz is a smaller variety of Japanese Maple and features a rich display of delicate and interestingly coloured foliage. New leaves emerge cherry red in spring, ages to become variegated with pink and green, then turn scarlet red in autumn before falling. It grows with a narrow and upright habit to about 2.5 m tall and 1.5 m wide. Acer Shirazz makes for a showy specimen and is ideal for adding to a mixed planting, planting around outdoor living areas, using as a backdrop for smaller plants, or including anywhere the spectacular colour can be enjoyed.

Acer palmatum Shirazz is a smaller variety of Japanese Maple and features a rich display of delicate and interestingly coloured foliage. New leaves emerge cherry red in spring, ages to become variegated with pink and green, then turn scarlet red in autumn before falling. It grows with a narrow and upright habit to about 2.5 m tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, moderately sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and will grow on a range of soil types but will struggle at the extremes of wet and dry.
