Acer palmatum Sumi Nagashi is a variety of Japanese Maple that features a rich display of colourful foliage. The foliage emerges scarlet red in spring, ages to become a maroon colour in summer, then turns scarlet red again in autumn before falling. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site.
