Sycamore Plant, Acer pseudoplatanus f Purpureum
Acer pseudoplatanus Purpureum, commonly known as the Sycamore Maple, is a medium-sized, deciduous tree that features intensely coloured foliage. The leaves emerge purple-pink in spring, age to dark purple, then turn brilliant shades of yellow in autumn before falling. It grows with an upright and spreading growth habit to eventually reach 10 m tall and 8 m wide. Acer Purpureum makes for a magnificent specimen tree for larger properties, parks and the like, and provides great shade during summer.
