Aesculus flava, commonly known as Yellow Buckeye, is a rounded, deciduous tree that grows to about 15 m tall and 10 m wide. The foliage comprises large, dark green leaves which age to yellow in autumn before falling. Through spring it bears masses of large and showy, yellow flowers which are held on slender stems. Aesculus flava makes for a great addition to parks and for large gardens as both a specimen and shade tree.
