Albizia julibrissin Rosea is a variety of the commonly known, Silk Tree, and is grown for its soft, fern like foliage and clusters of long lasting, fluffy, rose-red flowers in summer and extends until autumn. The foliage is mid-green and the sensitive leaflets close up when touched and at night. This tree grows with a vase shaped habit and produces a flattened, spreading crown as it reaches 6 m tall and 4 m wide. Albizia Rosea is commonly used as a specimen in medium to large sized gardens, as a back drop for smaller plants, in avenue plantings, or to provide shade around the barbecue and other living areas.
