Betula ermanii Details

Betula ermanii, commonly known as Erman’s Birch, features fantastic autumn colours and a tidy form. This medium sized tree grows with an upright habit and carries a rounded crown of bright green leaves. As autumn progresses the leaves develop golden-yellow tonnes before falling. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site and typically reaches 20 m tall and 10 m wide. It is tolerant of coastal environments, cool climates, frost, moderate wind, and periods of dry. Betula ermanii is well suited to parks and large gardens where it is often planted in clusters or as a specimen. It is also commonly used for screening and shelter where space affords.
