“Jacquemontii Dazzler” is a variety of Birch grown for its lovely white bark coupled with great form and foliage. It grows with an upright habit and carries a dense crown of dark green leaves which contrast well with the white stems. Through autumn the leaves develop impressive golden tones before falling. Yellow catkins (small cones) are borne amidst the branches in spring and remain on the tree after the leaves have fallen. It grows best when planted in a full sun position on a well-drained site typically reaching 10 m tall and 6 m wide. It is tolerant of coastal environments, cold climates, and frost. “Jacquemontii Dazzler” is well suited to large parks and gardens where it is often planted in groups. It also suits being used for screening and shelter where space affords.
