Coprosma areolata Details

Coprosma areolata, commonly known as thin-leaved Coprosma, is a small, bushy, NZ native shrub that grows to about 2 m tall and the same wide. It has small, thin, mid-green leaves with prominent veins held on a dense network of branches. Small, cream-yellow flowers are produced in clusters in summer and are followed by a small white berry which attracts birds. Coprosma areolata will grow in full sun or partial shade conditions but does require some shelter and protection from frost when young. It is commonly used in woodland gardens, mixed plantings, or in shady areas.
