Cornus florida Purple Glory, Cornus Purple Glory
Cornus florida Purple Glory features leaves that emerge pink-purple in spring, age to become mid-purple, then develop impressive dark red and black tones in autumn before falling. The foliage is complemented with masses of showy, pink flowers in spring which literally coat the tree just as the foliage is borne. It grows with a broad and somewhat pyramidal shape to about 4 m tall and 3 m wide. Cornus Purple Glory makes for an excellent specimen tree and is great for including in a mixed planting, growing as a specimen, using in an avenue planting, or planting to border an entrance.
