Variegated New Zealand Laurel, Corynocarpus laevigatus Variegata
Corynocarpus laevigatus variegata, commonly known as the NZ Variegated Laurel, is a handsome, NZ native tree that features large, glossy, green with a cream margin. It produces green coloured flowers in spring which are followed by fragrant and fleshy, orange fruit in summer. The fruit, however, are toxic to animals but not birds. It typically grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide. Corynocarpus laevigatus variegata is ideal for planting in coastal locations and makes for a great specimen tree.
