Southern Blue Gum, Blue Gum
Commonly known as the Southern Blue Gum, this is a large sized tree with mid-green leaves. White flowers appear are borne from autumn through winter and result in small, brown nuts. It can reach a height of 40 metres and 10 m wide and will grow on a range of soil types provided they are well drained. It is also tolerant of wind, extended dry periods, and frost. This tree is commonly used as a wind break, grown for screening, or planted as a specimen in a large garden or park.
