Fagus sylvatica Rohanii is a variety of European Beech tree that features a broad, spreading crown and stunning, purple foliage. The glossy leaves emerge deep purple in spring, age to purple-green in summer, then develop copper tones in autumn before falling. Left untrimmed it will eventually grow to about 12 m tall and 8 m wide, but can be contained with trimming as necessary. Fagus Rohanii is a fantastic tree and mature specimens make a dramatic statement in the landscape as their branches sweep to the ground. It is also commonly used for avenue planting, hedging, screening, or added to mixed plantings in large gardens.

Fagus sylvatica Rohanii is a variety of European Beech tree that features a broad, spreading crown and stunning, purple foliage. Fagus Rohanii grows best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates. It is also hardy to moderate wind but will produce a better formed tree if well staked while it establishes.
