Fraxinus angustifolia, commonly known as the Narrow Leaf Ash, is a large and stately, deciduous tree that grows to about 20 m tall and 8 m wide. This broad tree carries narrow, dark green leaves which are held densely. These develop impressive purple tones in autumn before falling. It grows best when planted in full sun a well-drained site and will tolerate wind, dry periods, cool climates, frost, and coastal conditions.
