This deciduous tree produces dense and lush, bright green foliage which turns impressive shades of red, orange, and purple in autumn before falling. It grows with a rounded crown to about 10 m tall and 5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, some wind, dry periods, cool climates, and a wide range of soil types, barring extreme wet and dry. We do advise protecting the tree while it is establishing which will result in a better specimen. Fraxinus Green Glow is commonly grown as a specimen in parks or large gardens, or used in avenue plantings.
