Fraxinus ornus, commonly known as the Flowering Ash, is a deciduous and rounded tree grown for both its foliage and flowering. Showy clusters of fluffy, cream-white flowers are produced across the tree during summer. The impressive flowers are borne amidst the dark green foliage. The leaves emerge a fresh green in spring, age to dark green, then develop yellow tones in autumn before falling as it grows to 9 m tall and 6 m wide. Fraxinus ornus is commonly grown as a specimen or used in an avenue planting.
