Best results with this plant are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and extended dry periods once established. Hamamelis x intermedia is commonly grown as a specimen, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or planted anywhere the beauty of this tree can be appreciated.
