Hibiscus tiliaceus, commonly known as the Coast Cottonwood, is grown for its lush foliage and showy flowers. This small tree produces dark green leaves and becomes adorned with yellow flowers in spring as it grows to about 8 m tall and 5 m wide. Hibiscus tiliaceus is commonly grown as a showy specimen, used as an informal hedge, planted for screening, included in a mixed planting, added to a tropical garden, or planted around outdoor living areas.
