The foliage is held densely on slender branches that have a graceful arch. The branches also host small, white flowers in early autumn which are also very aesthetic. This evergreen grows quickly to about 5 m tall and 2.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate dry periods, coastal environments, heavy soils, moderate frost, and some wind, though young trees should be protected while they are establishing.
