“Kimono” is a stunning, small tree grown for its lovely flowers and colourful foliage. It produces clusters of showy, white flowers in such abundance they literally transform the plant during summer. The frilly flowers are complemented with lush, dark green foliage which develops orange and yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows upright, producing a compact and rounded head as it reaches 5 m tall and 3 m wide. This tree can be trimmed as necessary and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, moderate wind, and short periods of dry. “Kimono” makes for a lovely specimen and is well suited to avenue planting, courtyard gardens, or including in a mixed planting. This is a colourful plant that will bring a lot of pleasure.
