Leptospermum lanigerum, Woolly Tea Tree, Leptospermum lanigerum Woolly Tea Tree, Leptospermum lanigerum Hedge
Leptospermum lanigerum, commonly known as the Woolly Tea Tree, is a compact shrub that produces masses of white flowers which literally coat the plant during spring and summer. The flowers result in woolly fruits along the stems which gives rise to its common name, the Woolly Tea Tree. The foliage comprises small, grey-green leaves which complement the flowers nicely as it grows to 3 m tall and the same wide. Leptospermum lanigerum is commonly used as a backdrop for smaller plants, included in a mixed planting, trimmed into a hedge, or planted around outdoor living areas.
