“Arnold” is a variety of the commonly known, Tulip Tree, and is favoured for its flowers and foliage. The orange flowers are tulip like in size, shape, and appearance. They are complemented with large and glossy leaves which turns rich shades of yellow in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 18 m tall and 6 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is hardy to frost, cool climates, and moderate wind, but should be protected while establishing. "Arnold" makes for a lovely specimen or shade tree in a larger garden or park, and is well suited to avenue planting.
