This evergreen bears large and glossy, lance-shaped leaves which are held densely off spreading branches. Clusters of feathery, white flowers are produced in spring and summer, and are great for attracting birds, bees, and butterflies. It typically grows to 15 m tall and 6 m wide, growing best in full sun on a well-drained site with good soil moisture during dry periods. It is tolerant of frost and dry periods once established.
